The Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre has produced the 70 KANJI FLASH CARDS FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS based on the 290 KANJI FLASH CARDS for secondary students.

The Kanji in70 KANJI FLASH CARDS FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS has been chosen from a number of Japanese textbooks commonly used in primary schools in Australia and New Zealand, as well as from surveys conducted fro the Centre by the education departments and other systems in the various states and territories and by a number of primary schools. We would like to thank these organizations for their help in choosing the kanji most appropriate for primary students.

The Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre hopes that teachers find these materials a useful addition to their collection of teaching resources. As state primary syllabuses develop the kanji required for primary schools may change, and we will make changes to the set accordingly. Any comments or suggestions for improvement are welcome.
