This pack contains 290 kanji cards compiled from the list of characters prescribed in the syllabus for each state and territory in Australia and New Zealand. Characters for both reproduction and recognition have been included.

For ease of use, the characters have been numbered and collated according to topics (refer to LIST 1). The numbers given on LIST 1 correspond to the numbers on the top corners of each card. The characters have also been listed according to the number of strokes of their radicals (refer to LIST 2). Place the cursor on the card to read the pronunciation.

The front of each card resents a model of the character drawn by a calligrapher. The back gives details of the characters as described in the "USING THESE CARDS" notes and sample practice characters. It is suggested that teachers photocopy the back of each card to provided a model for student practice.

The Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre hopes that these cards will be a useful addition to your teaching resources and welcomes any comments or suggestions for improvement.
